Cabinet and drawer hardware is something that is easy to replace and can make a dramatic difference in the overall appearance of any room or piece of furniture. Metal knobs and pulls can become dented and scratched over time and when this happens it is important to find high quality replacements. Solid brass knobs and pulls offer classic patterns that range from simple to highly ornate and can complement any decorating theme.
Replacing the original knobs and pulls with replacements is a relatively simple task but does require some attention to detail, this is especially true when replacing older pulls. A drawer pull has two different measurements: overall length and center to center bore hole spacing. The overall length is from one end of the pull to the other while the center to center spacing is the distance between the two bolts that attach the pull to the drawer. Note: Not all pulls have the same center to center spacing – measure this distance carefully.
Choosing a pattern is a great way to introduce or enhance a current decorating theme throughout your house. By using a common theme on different cabinets and drawers you can tie the overall look of your home together. This can also be accomplished by using the same finish or similar designs and shapes on different pieces. Other areas to focus on when creating a theme include lighting (switch plates and overhead lights), window hardware (curtain tie backs, shutter locks) and door hardware (door knob sets and hinges).
Solid brass decorative knobs and pulls can vary in pattern but a few great choices include Georgian Roped, Ribbon & Reed, Eastlake, Egg and Dart, Art Deco and Fleur de Lis. Solid brass hardware can be introduced in both modern and Victorian homes and be matched easily with existing home hardware.
LookInTheAttic & Company offers a wide selection of decorative solid brass knobs and pulls. Be sure to ask questions like; what finishes are available and what coordinating knobs and pulls are available. Replacing cabinet knobs and pulls is a wonderful opportunity to have your home reflect your personality and style and bring new life to older or antique pieces of furniture.

I am only going to replace a section of the clapboard around the main portion of the house, then reuse the good portion of that to repair the rest. I am going to repaint all so don’t really need a cedar shingle. Would also prefer not individuals shingles but either a strip or panel

Should your Suspended Ceiling system be in size 24″ x 48″ you might consider converting to a 24″x 24″ Grid or glue two 24″ x 24″ to your 24″ x 48″ ceiling tile.
