I’m thinking of doing swags on all of my exterior window sills, but I just found a source of all sizes of grapevine wreaths and now I’m thinking of decorating with grapevine and greens! Any ideas?

I have a historic victorian home, two stories with lots of windows and two front doors and a gingerbread front porch. I’m open to suggestions if you have any!

The grape vines will be great…leave out the greens add pinecones and crystal beads wind lighting through them. A light reflective netted bow in the center. Use the same garland around the door. Of course a single light in each window. Put 1/2 pillars outside the door arrange several LED tea lights at varied heights inside a clear disposable bar type drink cups You can get the LED flicker lights at a dollar store for a buck apiece. Affix 2 wreaths at the bottom of the stair rails one on each side. Line the walkway with more LED lights in cups (Turn the cups over on the walk and secure)

My fiance and I have been planning our wedding. We had an idea for the ceremony venue but the space available was very limited. We are expecting no more than 150 guests (bridal party included) and are shooting for early November. We really like the idea of getting married inside a Victorian mansion, or Victorian home. We’ve searched online and are still continuing our search. Just thought posting here would help out more. Preferably, the location would be somewhere near the central valley or bay area California. Where can I find a Hobgoblin?

I saw an antique hobgoblin on a decorating show and was wondering where I could find one. I was hoping that it would be an older one dressed in victorian clothes. The help is greatly appreciated

used to design jewellery
for the monarchy and aristocracy in England, way back in mid 1800′s – those
pieces would now be considered to be georgian
and victorian in style (actually also antique), who has a factory in
Singapore, and is now replicating those very english designs that his
grandfather/great grandfather used to desgin and make and also took copies
of all the designs when he went back to Singapore – or so the story goes.

Where to find “perfect” engagement ring…?

Im in the process of shopping for an engagement ring, and have gotten a pretty good idea of what my girlfriend and I both want, but am having NO luck finding it…Antique, maybe victorian/edwardian era, preferably platinum, and I really like the old mine cut diamonds. I LOVE the style of the first one, EXCEPT for the way the center stone sits SO low. It looks a little too much like a class ring. If it were raised a little more, and were a little narrower at the top, i think it might be the one… the second one just illustrates kind of what I mean….
