I mean of course that’s a more teenager-y version

Seems like it was popular in the mid-nineties…and included lots of elements from different cultures…? Like Indian fabrics with Victorian style furniture, sun and moon wall decor and even modern items (like the lava lamps in the pic)
Need to find some inspiration for a friend who wants to do her house like that, and we’re having a hard time finding inspiration rooms not knowing what to look for

I would like to know if my antique furniture is worth anything?

Would you use an antique crib if it met modern safety standards?

I am planning on using a victorian iron crib. It has been stripped and repainted. We have had a custom mattress made to fit the crib. We live in an old victorian brick home, and have kept all the furniture inside antique. My husband still thinks we should get a new crib.

what would victorian style fabric look like? i need help with a quilt i’m making.?

I’m no expert in quilting so its going to be 15/15 squares and i need 5 different victorian style fabrics 1 yard each. She wants the blanket to be in reds, browns and tan colors. What would you think walking into my home???- which is colonial home decorated heavy with victorian European influences- so I don’t have a typical home decor to begin with.

I Need Some Advice On Room Decor. What Would Go with this…and is it an okay idea?

I was thinking, paint the walls a ivory/white and then by the ceiling do a strip of bright blue that matches the sheets. Then get a stencil to match the bed design, and do that on the wall in Black. Then re-do all my furnite either white or black.

Is that good? Any advice?

and also…i have carpet in my room. it’s all white, and i cant change it. my mom would kill me.(not literally)

also i have wooden framing (painted white) all around my door (white) and windows(white). Should i paint it black?

Rooms in palaces in England or Victorian mansions or stuff like that, what kinds of rooms would they have.

How would a young doctor live in Victorian Eng? Their own home? An apt?

I’m writing a fictional story which is based on medicine in Victorian England? I’d like to know as much as possible how a young doctor would live their life. Would they rent a room in someone’s home? Where would they stay? Would they see patients at the hospital or at their home?

I have off white carpet and I want to have a victorian style room. What wall colors would be good for that?
